We are thrilled to share a glimpse of the incredible event in which two of our PhD candidates, Marina Grgić (PhD03) and Katarína Kavčiaková (PhD04) had the opportunity to shine!

The 4th International Symposium on Microbial Lipids (ISML) was held in Graz, Austria, from the 11th to the 14th of February. Marina and Katarína showcased their research by presenting scientific posters based on their master’s thesis topics. Their involvement underscores the commitment to pushing the boundaries of scientific exploration and collaboration.

ISML serves as a hub for 80–100 international scientists, including PhD students and postdocs, fostering a vibrant environment for scientific exchange. Covering a wide array of topics such as microbial lipid biosynthesis, membrane-associated processes, lipidomics, and enzymatic lipid modification, the event showcased the latest advancements and innovations in the field.
