Affiliation: Graz University of Technology, Austria
Secondment: Complutense University of Madrid, Spain and Henkel, Germany

Background
During my bachelor’s studies in nutrition science, I realized I was interested more in subjects related to genetics, microbiology and biochemistry, compared to those regarding human physiology, anatomy and dietetics. This was why I switched to molecular biotechnology for my master`s studies. Now I am happy and proud to hold the title of a university master engineer of molecular biotechnology, as well as the university bachelor of nutrition.

Hobbies/interest
Cats rule, cooking drools, and volleyball rocks!

What is the most useless talent you have?
Finding the squeakiest shopping cart wheel in the entire store, every single time…

Where is the worst-smelling place you have been?
I’ve been to some pretty rank places, but nothing quite compares to my husband’s gym bag after a one-month hibernation.

What ridiculous thing has someone tricked you into doing or believing?
When I was little, my dad tried to motivate me to eat kale by saying that he felt so good, healthy and energized after eating it that he went to fly over a lake that we lived nearby. I really believed him and tried to “flap my wings“ afterward.

About which topics could you talk for hours?
Delving into the intricacies of coffee brewing and the enlightening verses of the Bible—both offer a daily dose of awakening for the mind and soul.
